How sumu_test_ keys differ from sumu_live_ keys.
A sumu_test_ key and a sumu_live_ key run through the same request pipeline. Schematron
validation, UBL generation, AS4 transmission, and SMP publishing behave identically regardless of
which key you use — there is no simulation mode.
What differs
- Rate limits:
sumu_test_keys get 120 requests/minute and 5,000/day;sumu_live_keys get 600/minute and 100,000/day — see Rate limits. - Host: a
sumu_test_key only works against a non-production deployment, and asumu_live_key only works against production — mismatching either returns a403 FORBIDDEN_ERROR.
Sending real data
Beyond the rate limit and host lock above, nothing in the request pipeline changes behaviour based on
key type — check with SUMU before sending real party data through a sumu_test_ key. Treat "sandbox"
as a different host and rate limit, not a guarantee that nothing leaves the building.
